The Head of Safety and Quality Assurance is responsible for overseeing corporate service quality and safety standards, ensuring regulatory adherence and excellence in service quality.
Key responsibilities
- Corporate Safety Management System: Enhance the system by implementing new safety initiatives, closely monitoring key performance indicators, and establishing robust corrective and preventive measures
- Compliance: Stay updated on safety measures and tools to ensure policies and procedures meet current ordinances and industry standards
- Risk Management: Identify and assess safety risks, develop mitigation strategies and contingency plans
- Quality Assurance: Manage Quality Assurance Programs and Service Quality Management Systems, ensuring certifications e.g. ISAGO and ISO are valid and compliant
- Innovation: Leverage new technologies and best practices to improve service quality and safety, promoting a safety culture to internal and external stakeholders
- Strategic Partnerships: Build and maintain strong relationships with industry stakeholders and government authorities. Represent management in various committees to advocate for the company's interests, ensure regulatory compliance, and drive collaborative safety and quality improvements
- Team Leadership: Lead a team of professionals, fostering high safety awareness on workforce and excellence in service quality through training and upskilling
Requirements
- University degree or equivalent academic qualification
- Preferably 8 years’ relevant experience in safety and quality assurance aspects, exposure in aviation industry is an advantage
- Expertise in safety regulations and practical experience in application of safety standards and policy
- Possess quality assurance qualification and certifications
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, good project management skill and strong self-motivation, able to drive new initiatives and manage the cross functional team
- Proficiency in English and Chinese
- Candidate with sustainability experience would be an advantage
