Responsibilities:
- Oversee the implementation and adherence to the safety management system, ensuring it aligns with established safety policies, objectives, and procedures. Continuously monitor and enforce compliance with all relevant legislation, standards, and codes of practice regarding safety and risk management
- Supervise the adherence to regulations for workplace and environmental safety matters. Verify that all subcontractors' work is conducted safely and without risk, ensuring full compliance with industry standards and legal requirements
- Lead the profession team to conduct regular inspections to identify potential hazards and ensure that any risks are promptly addressed to prevent dangerous occurrences and accidents
- Provide continuous recommendations for eliminating or reducing risks based on workplace inspections and ensure that follow-up actions are completed effectively
- Conduct thorough investigations of accidents and incidents, and prepare detailed reports to inform management and improve safety protocols
- Manage the consolidation of employees’ compensation claims and coordinate with the Labour Department and insurers to ensure timely claim settlements
- Develop and implement annual plans for safety and risk management training to internal and external stakeholders
- Propose and implement innovative safety initiatives to enhance the safety awareness and practices of staff and all terminal users
- Engage in proactive communication and collaboration with different statutory bodies, departments and tenants to ensure seamless integration of safety and risk management practices. Facilitate the Environmental, Health and Safety Committee's initiatives and provide strategic guidance to enhance overall safety performance
Requirement:
- Degree holder in related disciplines
- Qualification holder of Registered Safety Officer (RSO)
- Registered Safety Auditor (RSA) is preferred
- Minimum 7 years’ relevant experience preferably in warehouse / logistics / aviation / operations management field
- Familiar with Health & Safety related ordinances and regulations
- Self-driver, excellent communication skill, good analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proficient in English and Chinese
