Assistant Manager – Branding and Communications

Duties:

  • Develop and execute strategic external and internal communication initiatives to enhance the company's image and reputation.
  • Prepare, translate, and distribute press releases, company news, and other branding and communication materials.
  • Coordinate media interviews, monitor media coverage, and follow up on press releases to ensure effective communication with the media.
  • Manage the collection of news clippings, maintain the digital display system, and oversee the central filing of company news, media reports, photos, and videos.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support communication needs and provide guidance on communication best practices.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and developments to identify opportunities for innovative communication strategies.
  • Oversee the planning and execution of exhibitions, corporate events, videos, corporate gifts, and website development, ensuring a high level of professionalism and brand consistency.
  • Organize and lead company tours for visitors, providing an engaging and informative experience.
  • Perform any other duties as assigned by the Director of Branding and Communications

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Communications, Marketing, or related disciplines.
  • Minimum 6 years of experience in Public Relations, Branding and Communications, or Marketing, preferably in an in-house setting.
  • Proven experience in PR and marketing, including media relations, copywriting, translation, and collateral/website/app production.
  • Proficiency in graphics software, particularly Adobe Photoshop.
  • Strong proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, with Chinese inputting skills.
  • Excellent command of written English and Chinese, with strong bilingual translation capabilities.
  • Fluent spoken English and Mandarin (Putonghua) is preferred.
  • A collaborative team player with a strong sense of responsibility, attention to detail, and the ability to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently, thrive under pressure, and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
